1.2 Update Log


Hi Hi!

DragonLilly here again with another update!

1.2 Changes:

- Enemies now flash a bit when hit letting you see what's taking damage and what isn't.


- The game now pre-caches enemies and the bombs hopefully helping to alleviate stutter during gameplay on lower end PC's.

- Extends are a thing now! Every 500k points you'll recover a bar of health allowing players a bit of breathing room if they make a mistake.

- There's a new config menu! You can access the config by pushing UP and B on the main title screen! Now you can set your own key bindings so you're not limited to Z and X for A and B anymore. In addition to this several other useful options were added such as the ability to mute the music, change it's volume, adjust controller deadzones etc etc. The config menu is still in alpha so there might be some problems or bugs. If things go wrong you can delete the cfg.dat and the game should generate another default config. (cfg.dat should generate in the game folder itself, make sure you have write permissions for the folder Seraphica is in, if it doesn't generate there check the backup location at %APPDATA%)



- If you click on the extra's tab in the config menu you can also enable the CRT Shader if you would like to get a similar experience to playing the game on an old CRT TV.



- Candy drops are now pushed over to the right side of the screen! Before, if you defeated an enemy using a bomb and it was really far back behind you it could have spawned a candy and sometimes there would be no way to pick it up because it would float off screen quickly. With this update, candies only drop from the middle of the screen (the red line in the screenshot) and to the right making sure that there's at least enough time for you to see and react to it.


Hopefully these new changes will make the game even better!
